A generous $12,000 grant funded in part by the Government of Canada’s COVID-19 Emergency Community Support Fund has helped Heartland Forest develop a series of trail walk videos for seniors and other vulnerable populations. The grant was administered by United Way Niagara Region, a proud community partner. The grant funded the seasonal videos entitled ‘Join us on a walk at Heartland Forest’. The video featured Heartland’s Nature Guides walking our trails and sharing interesting and educational information. Viewers will enjoy learning about trees, native flowers, bees and bugs – to name a few of the topics – while they virtually walk the trails at Heartland.
