We invite families in the Region for a special winter celebration at Heartland Forest. The event includes a toasty fire pit with S’mores, yummy hot chocolate, our signature Tundra Trek on the trails, Reptile Kingdom and craft station, interactive exhibits inside the Nature Centre and so much more! The event is accessible to all in keeping with Heartland Forest’s passion for all ages and all abilities.
You can register for the morning or the afternoon time slot.

WINTERFEST REGISTRATION – Frequently asked Questions
Q: Do I need to buy an admission ticket for each child?
A: Yes, each child requires an admission ticket. Please bring your purchase receipt to the Check-in Tent on Saturday, February 22 at either 10am or 1pm (whichever you purchased) and you will be provided with a passport for each child that must be presented to participate at the activity stations.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: Our system allows Visa and Mastercard but not Visa Debit.
Q: Can I pick up our tickets in advance?
A: Yes, we encourage this! Passports will be available for pickup starting Friday, February 14th at the Nature Centre between 9am and 4pm daily. Extended hours on Thursday, 20 February (until 7PM).
Q: Do I need to buy an admission ticket for my toddler?
A: Only if you would like your toddler to participate, for example, in the fire pit with S’mores, the Tundra Trek, and/or craft station. Anyone participating must have a passport.
Q: Do adults need to buy an admission ticket?
A: No – Winterfest activities are geared for children. Admission tickets are required to get a passport to participate in the activities. If tickets are purchased for adults and you do not go transfer to another individual we will consider your purchase a donation to Heartland Forest.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: No! There are NO refunds but you may transfer your admission ticket to another individual. They will be required to provide proof authenticating the transfer from you to them. Please have them bring this when they pick up their passport – either day of or in advance. Passports will be available to pick up starting on Friday, February 14th at the Nature Centre, open 9am to 4pm daily.
Q: Can I transfer my admission ticket to another individual?
A: Yes! They will be required to provide proof authenticating the transfer from you to them. Please have them bring this to the Check-in Tent (parking lot by the mini putt) the day of the event.
Q: Can I change the time slot that I booked?
A: Time slots can only be changed by Heartland Forest Administrators. Please call the office at 905-356-7384 to make the request – this depends on availability.
Q: Will there be food available?
A: Yes! One hot chocolate is included per ticket purchased. French fries, s’mores and a selection of hot and cold drinks will be available for purchase. You can pre-order your food tickets while purchasing event admission online.
