We invite families in the Region for a special winter celebration at Heartland Forest. The event includes a toasty fire pit with S’mores, yummy hot chocolate, our signature Tundra Trek on the trails, a petting zoo and craft station, interactive exhibits inside the Nature Centre and so much more! The event is accessible to all in keeping with Heartland Forest’s passion for all ages and all abilities.
You can register for the morning or the afternoon time slot.

Q: Do I need to buy an admission ticket for each child?
A: Yes, each child requires an admission ticket. Please bring your purchase receipt to the Check-in Tent (parking lot by the mini-putt) on Saturday, February 24th at either 10am or 1pm (whichever you purchased) and you will be provided with a passport for each child that must be presented to participate.
Q: Do I need to buy an admission ticket for my toddler?
A: Only if you would like your toddler to participate, for example, in the fire pit with S’mores, the Tundra Trek, and/or craft station. Anyone participating must have a passport.
Q: Do adults need to buy an admission ticket?
A: No – Winterfest activities are geared for children. Admission tickets are required to get a passport to participate in the activities. If tickets are purchased for adults and you do not go through the refund process prior to the cut-off date we will consider your purchase a donation to Heartland Forest.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: You have options! (1) Refunds are allowed through the purchasing system – before Wednesday, February 21st – less a processing fee. Follow the directions in the email you received. (2) You may transfer your admission ticket to another individual. They will be required to provide proof authenticating the transfer from you to them. Please have them bring this to the Check-in Tent (parking lot by the mini putt) the day of the event.

Q: Can I change the time slot that I booked?
A: Time slots can only be changed by Heartland Forest Administrators. Please call the office at 905-356-7384 to make the request – this depends on availability. You can also process a refund through the order system (less a processing fee) and then purchase tickets for a new time slot.
Q: Will there be food available?
A: Yes! Heartland Forest’s café located inside the Nature Centre will be open serving pizza by the slice along with a selection of snacks and hot and cold drinks. S’mores, hot chocolate and coffee will be available at the fire pit.
