Come drop by our informational workshop and learn about why and how we monitor marshes. The workshop is aimed towards children and youth to introduce the concepts of monitoring and conservation with a focus on the following topics; Wetland Biodiversity, Benthic Invertebrates, and Water Quality.
During the workshop you will learn about what biodiversity is, why it is important and how it impacts the environment. We will also go over what benthic invertebrates are and how they relate to water quality and act as biomonitors. Participants will also have the opportunity to create a simple water filter, and learn about different kinds of filtration.
