This Work Experience Program provides opportunities to Underrepresented Groups: Youth, high school or early post-secondary graduates and individuals who self-identify as women and/or belong to one of the following groups: Persons with Disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, Racialized Groups. Learn new skills, gain experience and build confidence working in Customer Service, Hospitality & Tourism.
- 1st Session, June 5 – Sept. 3
- 2nd Session, Sept. 4 – Nov. 26
- 3rd Session, Nov. 27 – Mar. 18
13-week Program, 10hrs a week, two 3.5hr On-the-Job Training shifts and one 3hr Workshop a week. Paid for 5hrs a week commencing the 2nd week of program until completion, for a total of 60hrs paid employment. Days available Wednesday to Sunday with a rotation through our Info Booth, Pop Up Gift Shop, Reception. Participants will have the opportunity to complete the AODA Customer Service Module, Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training, WHMIS 2015 and Food Handler Certification during their Workshops.
